Shobelloby Posted June 26, 2006 Share Posted June 26, 2006 Hi all....I'm having some issues understanding measuring FO. It's 6% FO to the total weight of wax used right? Anyway....my REAL question is what are some of the methods everyone uses to weigh FO? I tried weighing the container that the FO comes in, then weighing the FO and subtracting the container weight...but I don't think that's precise enough. Am I totally mixed up here? eugenia Posted June 26, 2006 Share Posted June 26, 2006 It's pretty simple. Turn the scale on. Place the vessel (glass, paper cup, pour pot, whatever) on the scale. Hit "tare" to zero it out. It's 6% FO to the total weight of wax used right? ~SYup, if you use 6% FO in let's say a pound of wax, you would need 0.96 ounces FO and 15.04 ounces wax.
