Candlelovr
K, Have a question for you all. How long do you let your testers sit before doing the first test burn? Do any of you take it straight out of the mold and start the testing? Im asking because I unmolded an Astor F pillar and lit it, and after 30 mins, I have almost a full mp. Is this because the wax is still soft inside so its melting faster? Thats what Im thinking. Normally I would say my wick is too big but maybe I should give it a few burns before I decide to switch wicks. What do yall think? Thank ya..and come again! eugenia
If I'm testing for burn only, I'll light right away. Right out of the mold. Gove your pillar a full three hours before making a determination on the wicking.

eugenia
Unless the shell is huge, let it cool after the first burn and give it another go.
