MindyHarrell
I am new to candles and in need of advice. I was told to sell outdoors I need to add an Uv additive. What does this actually do and is it a must for outdoor events. Confused and as always in need of help THANKS
Scented
Well you shoulda posted in general questions UV helps prevent your candles from fading fast in all kinds of light, so it isn't just for outdoors. I can't say that it totally prevents it, but it slows the fading down tremendously. So it's kind of like a color preservative.
eugenia
Mindy, I never believed in UV inhibitor until I did an outdoor show in the sun. I went to restock some containers and as I was putting the candles out that were under the table I was shocked at the ones that were ON the table. The sun sucked the color right out of some of them! They looked completely different, and not in a good way. I'm a believer now.
