If I'm not sure about an FO and how strong it is, I usually will start at 1 oz ppo and then adjust from there as necessary on subsequent batches. Most of the times, these are practices batches for me anyway. You could do the same or adjust the amount down the first time so that it's not too strong and then in subsequent batches, adjust up or down as you feel necessary.
