BrandNewToCandles
OK, got a good looking octagon votive, smells great, ready to test a bunch of wicks. What the heck do I burn this thing in??
grandmaskitchen
Depending on the diameter of it, I guess I would try a straight sided votive cup and go from there.
RobinInOR
Octagons will fit in the larger roly poly, the "hurricane" votive, and the one I've forgotten the name of that's flared at the top. Those are the 3 that are at Walmart. You won't find a tight fit for octagons, so they're going to burn differently. You'll have to wick so the walls eventually "break" and the votive fills the cup and becomes a "container". That's all I've done for 4 years. Depending on wax, you maybe need a wick one size larger than a normal votive.
BrandNewToCandles
I tried the regular votive cups, they're slightly too small. Thanks, Robin, I'll look for the holders you mentioned. The votives are so nice looking, I really want something to test them in properly.
