KimM Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 After you make your tarts, how long do you let them sit before you bag them up?I have to put mine in the freezer for a bit to get them out of the molds and then I let them sit but sometimes I feel like I get impatient and bag them too quickly. Quote
Carol M Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 As long as they're completely cool, I don't think it would matter how soon you bagged them. Of course, if they are at all "sweaty" from being in the freezer, you'd want to be sure they were totally dry first. Quote
KimM Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 Thanks Carol. Forgot to mention that I use Soy, but that shouldn't matter.I do wait until the "sweat" is gone if they are like that Quote
KimM Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 I made tarts tonight and they are still "moist" feeling so should I wait to bag them? Could that be why they look dry on the edges and wet in the middle when they sit for awhile, they don't do that until a few weeks later and it seems like it is the oils form Snowtop that I notice it. wickerbeal Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 I made some this morning and packaged them this evening. Quote
KimM Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 I made some this morning and packaged them this evening.Do you ever make them in the evening and bag them up the next morning? I have done that before and they seemed to be fine Quote
Freezin Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 That should be fine. As long as they are cool you should be able to bag them no problem. Quote
