Gacela20
Can rustic pillars be made with beeswax? I know that beeswax is sticky to work with and therefore requires additives to allow the candle to be removed from the mould. But can the rustic effect be created as well? Henryk
I don't know of anyone who adds additives to BW candles unless its FO/dye. Silicone molds, release spray, a hot pour temp, and, if needed, refregeration is all one should need as far as getting the candle to release. You are not going to get the results you see in the gallery section using BW in a "rustic recipe". BW will "bloom" however over time so you will get a powdery coating on it that looks very nice* - rather "antiqued". You can enhance this effect by using darkly-dyed BW.*Some people hate this - you can use a hair dryer to get rid of it.
