Katcameback
I have seen in a couple of posts that some people blend their container wax and pillar wax? Can I ask what the purpose of this is? Is it better to do that? I have been using the complete container wax for tealights and containers, and pillar wax for votives and pillars. Also, what ratio do you mix the wax? Georgia
I do it! I mix 75/25 pillar/container for votives, meltie and tealights. I do it because it increases the amount of FO the wax can hold. I also don't want to stock another wax such as a votive specific wax. I have a presto full of pillar wax, one with container wax and one with a mixture. I know you can use additives to increase FO load, but when I started I was making just a couple votives at a time and it was more consistant to mix the waxes than to try and measure minute amounts of additives.
