MsDammit
I noticed on some shea butter i bought that the ingredients label said shea butter, fragrance & apricot kernel oil. So are you supposed to list them as their inci ingredient name or not? I'm confused.........
RobinInOR
There are multiple versions of the INCI names - one has just the common names, one has common (scientific), and one has scientific (common). I believe the proper one is common (scientific), but they won't come after you as long as you're listing everything.

Alajane
I was just working on soap labels and couldn't figure out how in the world I was going to get the scientific names to fit on the labels--without going down to 4-point type!!Thanks,Jane
Meridith
I don't make any kind of cosmetic claims on my lables but I still add the ingredients so folks can see what is in there. I do use the common name. I tried to do the INCI as well as both it and the common name, but geesh, just to be able to fit the common names on my lable I have to use a really small font. :undecided
