tonyalkay
If you use wick pins in your votives or pillars do you need to do something to secure the wick in place after you slide it in?
ajl
You should just be able to pop the wick in and fold the top part over, but some people heat the wick tab first to hold it in place.HTHAngie.
andrealh1975
I use wick pins for my votives and the wick tab holds it in place snugly.
Laura
for votives, i press the tab in and it holds fine. for pillars, i fold the wick over on the top, then flip over and use a candle lighter to melt the wax a bit. then press the wick into the melted wax. turn upright and it's set in place. Sag_77
I was wondering myself if you have to use a wick tab for pillars? I buy the pre-tabbed wicks for votives and was wondering if I should do the same for pillars.
AngelaVA
I heat the wick tab with a lighter when putting in my votive wicks. That way, they are sure not to come out. It only takes a few seconds.
