Ecosoya and Cargill C-3 Wick Type Suggestion

Recommended Posts

I am going to order the CB 135, CBA and C-3 waxes from Candle science. Since this is my first foray into soy, I was wondering what type of wicks you all are using with these waxes. I have zinc (but prefer something else), Premier and a sampler of HTP and LX wicks. If there is another type I should try, I want to order it with my wax samples. Thanks. :)

I use the HTP 126 in my wide mouth Jellys, using C-3 mixed with 100% soy 415. They seem to burn really good.

Any thoughts on how the RRD burn in comparison to the HTP's?

I have tried

Premier, Hemp, LX, Cotton Core 60c, and the 62c. I seem to get huge mushrooms with these.:tongue2:

I've used cotton wicks, htp's & LX's and went right back to the RRD's. From what I've read RRD's are made for a natural wax. I might get a very small mushroom but nothing like the other 3 wicks your talking about. HTH Cindy/WI

Thanks for the help. I ordered two sample packs of the Eco and RRD wicks along with the wax. I already have some HTP and LX wicks too, as well as the Premier series. Can't wait to try them out. Everything gets here on Monday and DH will be out of town until Thursday, so I have plenty of time to play, lol. :grin2:
