chris77
So, how long do fragrances typically keep? Well, on average how long are they good for in liquid form and how do you know when they are going bad? Thanks,Chris
mountainmadness
Most of the suppliers will tell you a one year shelf life. I think that most of us get far longer than that.A lot of it has to do with where, how, and in what you store then. They like amber glass bottles, no sunlight, and a room temp if not a bit cool place. Note- I am only talking about FO... EO are a whole other ballgame. butterfinger
I have some well over a year old....still good. Keep them in a cabinet in the house where is it cool and dark.
AngelaVA
I also have some over a year old and still good. When it goes bad, you will know. Smells terrible.
Meridith
I've had some for 2+ years that still smell strong and haven't gone bad. Like the others said, it's all in how you store them.
Kimberly
I have a few scents that I have had for 3+ yrs and they are still good and strong! I have a closet that I store all my FO's in. FO's last way more than a yr if you store them correctly.
chris77
Thanks for the replies! I was just curious....I have a cinnamon that I got from Peaks back in November. A couple of weeks ago the cinnamon still smelled strong like red hots...now it smells more sweet than strong. Thanks again!Chris
