WaxWonders
I recently tried making a gel candle with previously made pariffin embeds, but when the gel had settled, I noticed that the embed had melted. Can anyone tell me what temperature the gel should be at when I pour so as not to melt the pariffin embeds? Thanks for your help
sharyl55
Here are the replies I got for the same problem. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1589&highlight=embedsI have noticed the wax embeds do not last well in drink type candle. The seem to disinigrate over time.
CathyinME
HI! I put my embeds in the freezer for at least 1/2 hr. I also pour cool temp. I pour when the gel is still warm but not really runny. Does that make any sense? Pouring cooler gives you more bubbles but just put the candles in a sunny window & the bubble will disappear. Trae
I pour my gel into my container first, when it is the consistency of thick syrup. When it's cool enough that I can put my finger in the gel and not scream, I use the eraser end of a pencil to push the embeds into the gel. I've had no problems with melting doing it this way. candelecandlecompany
Hey there. I always pour my gel at about 100 - 120 degrees and then the embeds don't melt...not until the candle is lit anyways. Hope this helps
