Tara
I made my first batch and I must say it was kinda fun and scary LOL. I followed Robin's awesome tutorial. I do have a few questions though. 1. The recipe is used had Hempseed Oil in it and it's any ugly, fugly green color is that normal?2. I used a lined bread loaf pan but was wandering if you can use plastic soap molds like you do with m&p soaps. I never read about it using those type of molds so was just wandering why not.3. What oils can I use to produce a white or near white bar of soap?On a side note this soap is only for me so I won't be selling it (anytime soon any way)
Gene
Was the hemp oil dark green? If so, it will stay green but should lighten a bit
Tara
Yeah it was really dark green in the bottle. Hopefully it will lighten up some then
Janis
You can use m&p soap molds. It's harder to get the soap out, but if you put it in the freezer for a few minutes, it will pop out okay. And lard makes a very white bar. Rice bran oil will make a creamy white soap.
