But, if it does, more glycerin then!

gloworm
OK, crazy question of the day. I had never heard of bubble bars-are they used as soap?? or just dissolved for the bubbles?? You mold them in bar molds?? I checked the recipe before and it sounds like bath bomb mixture. Sounds neat whatever they are for. I love bubbles.Glo

Synascents
Sorry glo!Like my rectangle one, I cut it into 4's and drop one of them in!
lindsaycb
They're awesome aren't they!? But now I've read that they do have a lifetime of a couple months. That potentially the bubbles aren't as spectacular three months from creation date.Anyone else have that experience?Mind never last that long. Synascents
I'll let you know on this one!The bars finally harden up, took a few days but am satisfied with the way they are now. I am leaving one to see!
Carol M
I remember this being discussed one time before in relation to some recipe that Shannon J had posted, but did anyone ever come up with a cheaper source for cream of tartar? The small containers in the grocery store that I have seen would be prohibitively expensive to use in a recipe such as this. This is a product that is usually used in fractions of a teaspoon, mostly to whip egg whites, and it seems that the last I bought was like a 2 oz tin for something like $3.Answered my own question; found this source. I know nothing about this company, so use caution, but price is more in line with what I would need to pay in order to use this product in quantity:http://www.mothernature.com/shop/detail.cfm/sku/34312/rfr/NEX
Synascents
CarolSomeone had metioned if I tried cornstarch as a sub, I didn't and used the cream of tarter but will def try the next batch with cornstarch to see what happens! Carol M
Be sure and keep us posted on how that works. These look really good!
gloworm
About the three month shelf life-I would guess this might be correct because I made bath bombs and then didn't use them for a couple of months while I was using swap stuff and now I thought I was imagining that I had way less bubbles than before. I have some for my swap and they were so awesome in the beginning. This is a bummer as I wanted to make bombs now while there is no humidity for summer & fall shows. Anybody else have similar experience??
