htaylorrn
I knew when I poured this sample that I'd have to burn it first today. Oh, man, this stuff smells SO good. I just had to order a pound of it first thing this morning!I used 1 oz pp. I'd heard with Peaks you can use 1/2 oz pp. Anyone tried this with Pink Sugar? angiebaby
So glad you like it! I have a votive burning and it smells fab! Did you get a brown candle? I did when I made it.Angie
htaylorrn
I got a bright lite pink, if that makes sense. It's not pastel, but it isn't very dark either. I use Lonestar's red liquid dye and 4630 wax and I put one drop per pound. It doesn't seem to have any brown tint.
mystical_angel1219
How strange that it turned brown?Pink Sugar does turn brown in soaping. I never knew it turned in candles.
Sherri in Canada
I've made tons of candles with pink sugar and none of them have ever turned color on me..
angiebaby
I used dye block (all I had was shrimp which is a light pink and I added some red to it to make it more dark pink). When I pulled it out of the votive mold, my DD asked why is the candle "crap colored" if it is pink sugar. Gotta love the kiddies! (She just had her 16th birthday on Friday).Maybe it was the dye block vs liquid. I know that it has a lot of vanilla in it so it can turn. I think someone here made some pink sugar votives that were brown but she topped them off with a pink top with no FO and they looked really nice. Will have to try again to see what I get.
