BizzyBs
I would like to try out one of these soy blends from Golden that everyone is talking about...but, would like to find one that sets up hard enough to use in containers, as well as tarts.Any recommendations?Do these soy blends have the additives already in them? TIA!!!
geekrunner
I think you can use the GW423, which is the new pillar/votive blend from Golden Brands, for tarts. The regular 415 is 100% container soy, and the 444 and 449 are soy blends for container.geek
BizzyBs
So, you're saying none of them can be used for both containers and tarts? The wax I use now can be used for both...so, I'm wanting to try out a soy that can be used in the same manner.
geekrunner
I suppose you could make tarts with them, but I don't think they are described as being suitable for tarts. I do know the 423 will set up hard enough for tarts so they won't crumble or otherwise not come out of the mold in one piece. They are supposed to hold a higher FO load than previous soys they made. You could PM Jason at Golden Brands, his username is "Golden Brands" and could give you more info on it. geek
