Elyse
Hello,I've poured at 180-185, and that worked for me. Just poke relief holes to prevent those air pockets. I love the look of the wax, but feel like I have to babysit it while it cures. HTH :smiley2:

angiebaby
It needs to cool as slowly as possible. I had the same problem with the "look" of the crystals but I poured and cooled in the garage. The next time I made a container, I put my container in my double boiler which I had turned off and let the cooling warm water slowly cool the candle. The crystalline formation was much better this way. Try that and see how it goes. It is so pretty to see the container candle burn with this type of wax. The sides don't melt down and it illuminates as the candle burns down.HTH!
pandacandlemaker
A cardboard box turned upside down over the candles also works great at slowing cooling.
