dwarfie Posted January 25, 2006 Share Posted January 25, 2006 i make my votives using IGI 4794 and pour at 170F. i usually don't do my repour until the next day and i pour at 180F. alot of my candles end up getting bubbles on top. is my wax not hot enough? too hot?help..... I don't know for sure what the bubbles are from without knowing when they show up. If the wax has completely cooled, which is likely since it's the next day, it's probably shrunk down some. When you do the hot repour, it seeps down the sides displacing the air. Since the top cools faster, bubbles are still coming up and don't pop. This is just one possibility.
