what's causing the bubbles?

Post the question over in General candlemaking and it'll probably get more responses.

I don't know for sure what the bubbles are from without knowing when they show up. If the wax has completely cooled, which is likely since it's the next day, it's probably shrunk down some. When you do the hot repour, it seeps down the sides displacing the air. Since the top cools faster, bubbles are still coming up and don't pop. This is just one possibility. You can check it by watching them for a bit after you do the repour.
