You could try straight J50 but I doubt you will be able to get it out of the clamshell. Most folks use at least 50% votive / pillar wax with the container wax. AngelaVA Posted January 22, 2006 Share Posted January 22, 2006 I've put straight J50 in a clamshell, but I only use these for my own purposes. The J50 will come out, but it is pretty sticky and it doesn't come out of the tartburner very easily. I would use the 75/25 mix of votive/container wax or a straight votive wax in the clamshells.
