KarenWytch
Please can anyone tell me if they have managed to come up with a mottled look using soy wax. I dont want to use Paraffin wax and I dont know how eco friendly the Palm Oil wax is either. Many thanks https://www.candlescience.com/learning/the-problem-with-palm-wax Edited November 16, 2018 by KarenWytch Found useful link
birdcharm
I'm not sure how to get a "mottled" look in soy, except for perhaps trying to make it a chunk candle of sorts, maybe by using soy wax that's cooled, but not cutting it into squares or chunks, just shredding it into nuggets with a fork, perhaps coloring it slightly and pouring over it ...? Flicker
Not sure why you want a mottle if you don't want paraffin? Straight paraffin burns exceptionally clean, has no added chemicals and is simply a byproduct of crude oil, which is far more organic than that GMO soy. Just tossing out some little known facts the soy council has managed to blow over.
