Kerven Posted October 23, 2017 Share Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) Probably not what's causing the discoloration, but paraffin is prone to discoloration and polymerization. I think I read somewhere that excess heat and repeated burning sessions can trigger it. When it happens, wax can turn brown or yellow, the wick can become clogged, flame size decreases, and throw is diminished.
