It's going to be 100+ here for the next two months. Should I wait until it's cooler to order wax?

In the meantime, to try to quell my anxiousness to get started, I figured I'd use our 20 year old wax and try my hand at some firestarters.

Kinda depends on what type of wax you're ordering.  I'm in Phoenix and container wax which is fairly soft is really squishy if ordered in the summer months.  Harder paraffin wax is a little soft but ok - (in fact it is easier to chop).  USP deliveries at my home are rather late in the day so with the wax being on the delivery truck all day in 100+ temps, it really gets soft and messy to handle but I do let the slabs cool down before I try to handle.   If you're lucky enough to have an early morning delivery you should be good on either type of wax. You might be able to arrange for pickup at the delivery center...just a thought.

Thanks Pam. You're in one of the few places warmer than Las Vegas. I'll look into a "hold for pickup" shipment.
