Lora
Can anyone tell me the difference between IGI 4786 and IGI 1284?
birdcharm
Although I haven't worked with either one, I believe the 1284 is a straight paraffin wax while the other is a container wax.
Lora
Thank you. From what I read they are both container waxes but the 1284 is cheaper and just wondered why
Chefmom
4786 is a blended container paraffin wax. It has additives etc to hold more fragrance for scented container candles. The 1284 is a straight paraffin wax that is firm enough for votives and also for containers, however it doesn't have any additives and so you will need to add your own or to use it as is.
