ddweller
I'm looking for a book or website that lists every butter, oil, preservative, etc that can be used to make sugar scrubs. Is something like that available? I know I could find that individually online but it would be very time consuming but I also don't know how many different types of preservatives there are and why adding certain oils would be great for your skin and so forth TIA for any help

Jcandleattic
If you mean every oil so you know what properties, there are a few of them, I'll try to find some and link you (however it might not be until tomorrow as I'm ready to head out), but any oil can be made into a scrub. if it's going to be introduced to water at all it will need a preservative, but you also need to take into consideration the shelf-life of the oil, which the listing should show. (If not that's easy enough to look up once you determine an oil you are interested in). To start you off, this site has a LOT of very useful information on oils for lotions and scrubs... Take a look around. http://swiftcraftymonkey.blogspot.com/ And this page of hers has a listing of oils. http://swiftcraftymonkey.blogspot.com/2009/03/oils-short-guide.html Edited March 17, 2015 by Jcandleattic

Jcandleattic
You're welcome. I found her blog site to be invaluable when I started making lotions... It was a godsend in researching.
