viczye23
I've got a load of beeswax that I want to use in candles but because of the price I don't want to waste it.Ideally I'd like to do some votives but I don't know what size wick to use. I have only got LX wicks, from 8 to 22 so ideally i'd like to use that rather than buy more. With my paraffin votives I can use an LX8, and I assume with beeswax I would have to wick up, but to what size? Can anyone help me please. ChrisR
You really need square braid wicks for beeswax. 3/0 or 2/0 work best for votives, but I have used LX-16 in one batch of beeswax I had. It is never a waste of wax when you are testing!

Thanks ChrisR, i'll have to order some more colouring next month so will wait and get some more wick.
beaconterraone
If at all possible, get yourself a "sample" kit of square braid, as I've found that my beeswax votives are very particular, and don't work well with the size wicks others have had good success with.
