Michdj
I just picked up an event planner as a wholesale customer, and they want all these unscented white 6" pillar candles, but they're only going to burn them for 6 hours. Wasted wax! I'm wondering if they could be "recycled" - melted down and repoured? Has anyone done this? Or would they discolor?Would offering to do that with a discount to the customer make me Ms. Trendy Recycler or just trashy and cheap? Chefmom
I melt down my paraffin pillars without any issues. If they are just white, then they could be used for any other pillar you want. They probably won't discolor, but sure to cut the black burned part of the wick off. That can discolor the wax. Michdj
I'm thinking if I pose it as recycling with a discount it will look more appealing.
rjdaines
I've recycled unscented candles (4625), no problems. Even scented ones can be remelted and used again as the heating process drives off most (if not all) of the original FO.
