kssoaper Posted May 20, 2013 Share Posted May 20, 2013 Geez, bought some of the status jars at Dollar Tree, did my wick testing, etc. Ordered jars and *lids*...... Poured about a dozen candles, let them cool a couple days....went to put the *lids* on and guess what??? I poured too much wax in the jars and the lids mushed into the wax (..... Why are these lids sooo hard to get down flush with the top of the jar....pushing, turning...)Sooooo my question is, can I melt the wax out of the jars and repour the wax? Would I need to add more FO? I tried removing some wax and using heat gun to smooth the surface, don't like the way it looks. Sharon in KY Posted May 20, 2013 Share Posted May 20, 2013 When I do that and I have. I get a spoon and scoop around the jar, removing enough wax so it's below where lid sets.
