annie123
In my quest to answer the "will your tarts work on my Scentsy warmer" question.I tested my Tart Melt on my "new/used" Scentsy warmer with a 25 watt bulb.According to my supplier my wax melt point is 132 (KY Tart), I couldn't believe how long it took for 2 cubes of wax to melt. I haven't tried Scentsy Tarts but does anyone knows what kind of wax, the MP of their wax or how long it takes for their Tarts to melt???. justajesuschick
Their wax is a very soft wax. I call it rubbery, some here called it plastic.Their cubes do melt very quickly. All of my wax blends take longer to melt completely in their warmers than their wax.Their wax is paraffin. I would certainly believe a blend of a votive/pillar wax and a container wax. The blend I used that happened to be close to their consistency was a mix of 4794 and 4627.Their FAQ on their site says that their wax melts at 125:http://scentsy.com/newsroom/faq.aspx#
annie123
I googles it and ended up on the Clarus site: Scale Wax - Also referred to as Crude Scale wax or White Refined Scale Wax. These waxes usually have improved color values and melting ranges from 105 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. Oil content is in the range of 1 - 2% by weight. These waxes tend to be softer than fully refined paraffins and very plastic like.???
