Gbhunter
Does anyone have problems with eco wicks making a wax pool that is off center. Should the wick be twisted in order to center the pool. I was testing an eco 4 wick and the pool was way off centre,it moved in the direction of the wicks curl.

I was testing an eco 4 wick and the pool was way off centre,it moved in the direction of the wicks curl.I believe (and have experienced) most self-trimming wicks tend to make a off-centered melt pool. Twisting can help or off-setting the wick in the container. After the half way point it shouldn't matter too much as the container heats up and melts hangup. Cotton core wicks tend to make centered melt pools.
jeanie353
I don't have a problem with my Eco wicks burning off center but it sure can't hurt to twist them. Some wicks I absolutely always twist b/c (for me) it does help a lot and that would be HTP and CD/CDN. I've read where some don't need to twist, and others place them a little off center to fix the problem if they have it. As usual, it seems things don't always perform the same for each of us.It may also be due to that I only use size from 6-12 for all my jar sizes. I use them in a 50/50 parasoy and 415 soy.HTP and GL Edited January 8, 2013 by jeanie353
