Candybee
Can someone point me in the direction of learning more about the 'stability' of soaping oils? Isn't there a 'go to' site or book you use to read up or look at.I know some oils go bad after a while and was wondering if there is a listing of the shelf life of oils and how they pertain to soapmaking.Also-- doesn't the % of oil in your recipe or combined with other oils make a difference? ProudMarineMom
Don't know if you have these already, but here are some sites I have bookmarked.http://www.gardenofwisdom.com/carrieroils.htmlhttp://summerbeemeadow.com/content/properties-soapmaking-oilshttp://www.soapnuts.com/indexoils.htmlhttp://swiftcraftymonkey.blogspot.com/2009/03/oils-short-guide.htmlAlso, on Swift's site, if you look to the right and scroll down, there is a section called Downloadable PDF's. There are several that cover the properties of oils and butters.

As well as some of them listing recommended percentages..If I want to know more about an oil/butter that's usually where I end up ( to read, not so much to buy lol)cmzahz, thats a great quick reference list from northcountry.
