I was going to place an order with Candlewarmers for some jack-o-lanterns and Christmas warmers. There is a minimum of 12 on the plug in style warmers, and I just don't foresee selling that many. Is there anywhere else to order these from?

I pour into a thick Teflon coated jelly roll pan, and when it starts to set I take a spatuala and chop and fold, much the way you do when browning meat. It's time consuming, and messier to make than the clamshells, but everyone seems to love them. I sold twice as much when I was doing crumbles than I did when I switched to clams.
-
I've used 4786 as a mixer.. DON'T mix it with another hard wax for clams! I mixed it with 4794 and its awful to try and get of the clams! I ended up taking a pair of scissors to them after I broke off two nails lol
Yikes!!! I'll probably just stick to crumbles, they always sold best for me anyway. We'll see, I'll keep you all posted!!

Thank you! I know I have zincs in 2 or 3 different sizes, and my local supply carries them. Can't wait to get my wax!!
-
Thank you Puma! May I ask what wicks you suggest I start with? I have zincs, do you find them to be the best? I noticed thats what Cajun Candles uses as well.
-
Even mixed with 4625, it will not release? I could do 60/40 instead of 50/50. I wonder how well it will crumble? Is 4786 a super soft wax?

I'm not sure who it was, but a while back someone shared this link with me when I was working on my candle blend.
http://www.cajuncandles.com/container-candle-making-guide.html
It helped me decide on 4633, and now I am referring back to it for the 4786. I'm going to try this blend for candles, and try a 50/50 of 4786 and 4625 for my tarts. I'm not a stickler on wet spots, so I think I may like this blend.

Alrighty Ravens. That's what I was afraid to hear. But if its better I NEED to try it! Off to peak I go...

Ok, so as you all know I have been testing with 4630/4633 for a while now. As I research more, 4786 keeps coming up. Has anyone tested this and chosen 4630 over it? I keep coming back to it, but I don't want to start testing ANOTHER wax Is it really as good as everyone says??

"I really want to try the Sweet Potato everyone is raving about from Aztec! "
It really, really does smell like ooey gooey sweet potato casserole, I need to get into wax!
Me too!!!
So far the scents I've decided on for Autumn are:
AH/RE: Bonfire Bliss and Toasted Marshmallow,
NG: Country Bumpkin and Hillbilly Homebrew,
MW: Fall Festival and Enchanted Spice,
and Pumpkin Brulee and Pumpkin Apple Butter from my eBay lady.
What other amazing Fall scents does Aztec have?

No, sorry! That is probably the 1 wax I have not tried!
-
I don't think so. If its a scent they love they will want to buy a lot of it. I've had people order 4 bags of the same scent before. Then there is people like me that like to mix it up! I guess it just depends on the customer.

I have 5 warmers in the house, a combination of plate style, bulb warmers, and plug ins. I usually get about 12 hours on the plate, 24 or more with the bulb, and 3 or so days with the plug in warmers.
-
I've used the clear bags like ksranch mentioned, and am currently using clamshells. I make primmy sets of tarts that people use for basket fill or whatever decoration, I want to start packaging it in paper bags with a window, IF I ever get back to selling!!!
-
I have the same pot Only I got mine at Kmart. Can't remember the price, I'm wanting to say $20-$25. DH is going to put a spout on mine for me but we just haven't gotten around to it yet.
-
I also pour immediately into the Ellipso cups. They are much sturdier than the round cups, and I think they were more presentable when I was selling.
-
Ok, so are you supposed to only do 1 burn per day? I usually do 2, or sometimes 3, but like today when I relit, it didn't take no time to reach an almost FMP, so I'm thinking I need to wait more time between burns.
-
My favorites that I have tried are:
Pumpkin Crunch Cake
Country Bumpkin
Hillbilly Homebrew
Pumpkin Apple Butter

Classic candles, I was wondering the same just earlier today. I was doing a test burn on a couple 1/2 pints, and I was wondering, why 3 hours? I have always heard, burn in 3 hour intervals, why not 4, or 2? I guess everyone is different, and ks ranch explained it well! As far as getting the length of time that the entire candle will burn, I still haven't been able to do that one. Sometimes I'll get 12- 3 hour burns, sometimes its 15. Who knows!

I don't know about those two scents, but I can tell you this.... I was sitting in church here a while back, and I kept smelling AH/RE Toasted Marshmallow. I thought I was going crazy. Well next service, same thing. So I start sniffing around, and the lady who sits in front of us was using some BBW VBN hand sanitizer! I said hey, that smells like my marshmallow candles, she said I know, that's why I keep buying them!! I want to get a true smelling VBN and see how close they really are, side by side. I may just break down and go to the store and pick up something. Not the same as you were asking, but just thought I would chime in!!

Oh how I miss pouring! I have so many possibilities to try!! The past few weeks I have been digging through "the vault" trying out things I haven't tried in a while. The only thing is my notes are seriously lacking, so while I know the scent and the supplier, I'm not sure which wax blend they are. I really need to start labeling EVERY package, not just 1 from each batch. Hopefully this week I can get a small pouring station set up here at my in laws so I can feed my habit!
-
I had planned on just using them myself anyway. I'm not selling right now. The crate is an antique Coca Cola crate I picked up for $10, fits the tarts perfectly!

You open the driver door and it knocks you out! A big ol mix of everything!

I found them at Aztec, $11.95 for the large burners, and $7.95 for the plug ins. Is there anywhere else to get them a little cheaper?
