  1. Sorry it didn't turn out as well as you hoped, but def could've been worse. Plus you got your name out to a few more people :) That's great someone bought her burner but your tarts, love it! The scentsy lady was probably so jealous that you are talented enough to make your own, lol. Sounds like the one coming up this weekend will be great, good luck!

Good luck to you too, faithful scenter!

  2. Congrats!!!! That is soooo great! Even sounds like you will have advantage over the others considering your craft is handmade, local and you can bring plenty of stock. People love to have product in their hands as they walk out the door. Def have to let us know how it goes and this gianormous house!

  3. Purfume button idea is so cool! Candybee, how's it coming along? Are you in Berryville, Front Royal or Winchester? lol Fig. it's one of those. Please let me know when these are out and where the store is located, I'd love to try some out :) So many wonderful ideas can't wait to hear what you have come up with! My dad is a major history buff, my uncle as well, these would be perfect gifts :)

  4. Hey Lorelei! I haven't started wicking yet, just tested em in tarts, I know wrong catagory. I let all of em cure for a at least a week. I did up the % to almost 10%, that has helped. Now on the Hillbilly hmbrew I am getting about 6+ strong HT, 17 total hrs. Tested it last week but hadn't had time to update this post yet. But I am still only getting about 6 hrs total w/ Autumn magic @ almost 10% :( I will probably revisit it later and try again, it really is a great scent. Do you think a wick might make it stronger?

That's awesome Moonshine! Hopefully I will get that one fig out when the time comes cause that one is amazing as well!

  5. Thanks so much for posting this!!! My daughter has told me several times that she wants to make one of these, but we just started loom knitting, so I didn't want to get too ahead of myself. This looks like something I can do! And the purse it adorable! I'm not a purse person but I may have to rock that!

  8. Hello! I haven't tried any soaping yet but plan to order some NG natural bases for christmas gifts. I am thinking the hemp, yogurt and shea. If you have any experience with their natural bases, please leave a comment.

What's really been running through my head is packaging. Has anyone wrapped these bases in only paper with good results? I found some recycled 65lb envelopes I thought bout sticking them in that, then the kids can decorate.

I also saw the coffee filter idea and that is super cute! Those who use the filter, do you plasic wrap first? Some will be shipped to CA so maybe plastic is a must?

I couldn't find much info on NG's M&P, nothing on how much it sweats. Thanks for your time and help! Can't wait to make these :grin2:

  9. Bahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!! I've been trying to wait on my order for two weeks now, not sure if I can hold off much longer. I haven't tried all the ones I have yet! But I totally agree, if I'm gonna pay that much in shipping may as well make it worth it :) You guys are cracking me up, thanks needed the laugh :)

  10. Thanks Imc!

I did try adding the FO at higher temps and got a nice HT on very few. Am finding that mine is working best at lower temps. That's why I've been doing the variables of 5 to test, it's not always exact sometimes I'm a couple off. But I am finding that there can be a big dif in HT when I compare 160 to 165. Not every FO but so far a few.

I am also finding that my temps for adding oils is all over the place, like one works best at 170, the other at 165, another at 160 and another at 150. I could understand if they were in similar groups like bakery, citrus, spice, whatever.... so is that normal, every FO has it's own perfect lil temp? When I first started researching I just assumed each wax in what ever region, combined with house temps and if I'm wearing lucky pjs or not, would have it's own standard temp except for certain groups. I don't mind doing so many temps on one FO, it is time consuming but I am only doing 1 oz per temp. But the burning through it all is taking a long time :)

LMAO, who knows maybe I am crazy and there is no dif at all :) Thanks again!
