  1. I have used Ecoysoya PB and now using ParaSoy. I really like ParaSoy from Ky. I have only had 1 fragrance that did not have a strong CT or HT. Easy to use.
  2. I am self employed and have my own private spa. I have a scentsy warmer plugged in when you walk in. All my clients know about scentsy. Well I made my tarts and brought them into the spa. One client asked me if they were scentsy. I said no with excitment. I make my own now. They are awesome and they work in scentsy warmers too. So many of my clients that use them bought mine without hesitation. Once they find out our wax tarts are just as good they will come back to us. We just have to be positive and excited. One of my clients bought them and doesn't even have a warmer. Crap I should of bought some to sell. Will be doing that for the New Year now.
  3. I just started using this ky para soy blend too. I am having the same issue as well. I pour at 150, but I was going to pour cooler next time and slower to see if this helps. How far up do you pour. I do not measure it on the scale, just trying to eye ball it.
  4. Just made my first batch with Ky para soy, Scented Snowflakes. They turned out great. Already had a friend test and 2 days still smells. May just be the FO too, not what I expected for this scent more musky powdery scent. Added sprinkles too, that was fun..
  5. So do you keep these items in a basket on your commode? I made scented pine cones last Christmas with spices and EO's, The fragrance didn't throw very well so love the idea of dipping. Can't wait to try it out. I never have seen the TP ones may have to try that out too.
  6. Does anyone have a logo making software? I have used online labels in the past for making my own labels and vistaprint. But looking for a software I can purchase like the pro's use but not an expensive one. Thanks all.

    wax tarts

Thanks suzyk, I had used the PB alone. So I will check out the excel too. Thanks so much for your recommendation. I will have to try that next time. Just ordered the Ky para soy blend, 5pounds was the smallest. So it might take me awhile to go through it.

    wax tarts

The Ecosoya wax I used was from candle science. I think I heated it to 185 and poured at 165, notes are at home. Can we remelt the tarts to add more fragrance or would that be just burning off the fragrance already in it. Guess will have to try the 1.5 F load next time but getting ready to try out the ky para soy to test. Love all the ideas about glitter and such. Does anyone use spices like cinnamon and nutmeg?
  9. Getting ready to make an order for the ky para/soy blend. Hopfully this works out with a stronger scent throw than the Ecosoya.

    wax tarts

Well I tested my wax tarts last week. I only had two scents from Candle Science. I had Pumpkin and Apple Orchard. Well I could definitely smell them but they didn't last long. I used the Ecosoya and 1oz F per Lb. Then I got out my Scentsy tarts and one of them lasted for days. So I guess my question is do I keep trying other scents or should I go with a paraffin/soy mix. I followed the directions exactly. I read the comments about the lady that added 3oz per pound so I need to make the wax more effective to throw if I am going to use soy. Do you have any better throw the higher you heat the wax but figured this would burn off the scent faster when cooling. Anyone use just paraffin for wax tarts? Thanks everyone..:rolleyes2
  11. I have looked up manufactures for the clam shells and can't seem to find them. I find them for food but not the 6pk kind. Anyone got a link. Thanks ladies..:rolleyes2
  12. One reason I quit years ago making candles was because of wick testing. Why can't the candle suppliers have all this already tested. So we can just make the candle and enjoy it. Is this a big secret we are all trying to figure out, so we just keep buying products to keep testing. I think I will stick to tarts, still though my Ecoysoya PB, didn't give me the scent throw I was looking for... I used soy last time, maybe thats why. I have heard its tricky to get a throw with soy... Now looking at the IGI 4794 for tarts.
  13. You ladies are so great, I really appreciate your help.
  14. Ya, most of those mentioned I have already found. I am looking for a trusted company with good products and customer service. Just looking for a referral.
  15. Hello everyone. I have looked up several on-line stores to purchase tart warmers at wholesale and most of them look cheap. Has anyone found a store they really like and have a variety of burners. Appreciate the help... jackie
  16. Thanks a bunch, my email is jackiemmoz@yahoo.com I didn't know if their was like an official software for this, so guess not. To bad we didn't know a programmer, lol...
  17. Hello, everyone. Does anyone know of a good software that keeps track of inventory and breaks down profit per candle. I have looked all over the web. I need one that will also add in taxes and shipping. I used to make candle 10yrs ago and my kids were young and just gave up. Now I am starting over just with tarts and don't want to make the same mistake I did back then by just buying tons of supplies and letting them go to waste. I am definitely not an organized person. What do you all use for software? One last question. How much does it cost for you to make your tarts. I am using Ecosoya, clam shells, Frag, for about .98 cents each. Does this seem high and I guess I can get 3.50 for 1 shell. Thanks everyone for you help. I am so excited to learn from everyone here. Sincerely Jackie
