  1. OK.. After I posted this in a panic and calmed down I bit..... I pulled out some witch hazel and rubbing alcohol.

I put enough in the bottom of the jars to cover the stickum and base.

I let it soak a few minutes then took a scredriver and pried it off the bottom of the jar. WHEW..

Now will let it dry and hit it with the heat gun to get any moisture out of the jar.

I would suggest to anyone else that finds themselves with the same problem to use the rubbing alcohol.

I forgot about the funky odor that hazel has.. YUCK...

  2. My helper wicked about 20 cases of jars with the wrong wicks and I do not use this jar and wick combination for any of my candles.

I tried to heat gun the jar and pull off the wick/stickum, but of course this time the stickums are sticking like cement on the bottom of my jar.

Any tips or tricks out there to get these off?

Is there liquid I can pour in the bottom of the jar so they can soak and come off.

They are in a jar that I really can't get my hand in to pick them off either!:sad2:

    Thanks.

  3. I have the FO from BCN, in fact I have 5 test candles curing for a wick experiment that I am currently working on. Creme Brulee from BCN has a nutmeg or some other spice in the foreground that is overwhelming. BCN's is not a bad fragrance but it is not Creme Brulee, I might be able to tolerate it more if the spice was in the background, way in the background.

I do not smell this overwhelming spice/nutmeg you speak of.

But you know what you want, so keep up the journey and when you find it, please let us know because I would love to test it!

  4. Unfortunately, I found this to be true also. Thank goodness I saw these posts before pouring an entire batch from a recent C&BS order from JS. I poured a tester and it is definitely weaker than bottles from previous orders. So disappointing because this was a huge seller for me.

That does suck especially since JS's price went up to almost $20.00 pp!!

  5. What % did you use in your wax? I know a higher % and mine starts smelling cakey lemon curd. Its a strong oil so try cutting back and retesting at a lower %.

Ahhh.. That could be it. I am using 1.25oz p/p.. Thanks for the tip Candybee!! :)

  6. It would be a shame to cut back on the fragrance if you just could find the right replacement. FMC Iced Lemon Biscotti throws very strong for me and customers love it. It does have the biscotti cookie note-- not pastry. PM me your address and I'll send you a sample if you want to give it a try.

That is so funny yours smells like biscotti.. Mine is definitely pasty.

I had bought a pound of the oil I am selling mine on my sale shelves a lemon pound cake because it smells like pastry and not a hint of biscotti.

  7. FMC"S Cold throw is very good, but can't get a good hot throw with this one. To me this one could pass as lemon pound cake!

I did try Berts a long while back, and I don't think FMC's is a dupe to it. Bert's had more of a burnt smell to me. I did not care for it.

  8. I would have shipped it back!

Poor customer service and dirty product is unacceptable. From what I am reading they don't seem to care.

There are so many other great suppliers out there that care about their customers that I would never give that supplier my business again. Due to your posting here and how others have had problems. I will never order from them.
