  1. Here are other things that I make with wood.... Enjoy and Thanks for looking
  2. They are not wicked yet, I wasn't sure if I wanted to use on warmer or wick them. If I do decide to wick them Stella, you can rest assure that they will be tested a re-tested before they go to market....
  3. Thanks ladysj, total process time was about an hour, from melting to addind to the jars. I thought about a grater and a small processor. Maybe next time, let me know how the grater works out...so we can have multiple choices
  4. I hope your testing goes well Richard, there is nothing like the sinking feeling in your core when someone has something bad to say about a product you've made...been there before. This is the kind of stuff that makes us push through and make better products...and builds character...cheers mate.
  5. I use about the same FO as for tarts as well, I hear a couple of months and you hit them with a blowdryer to refreshen the scent, and made for small to medium sized rooms...HTH
  6. Thank you Scented, it is a thing of beauty, when you see a piece of wood, spend many many hours cutting it, sit back and look at what you created...ahhhh...thanks again.
  7. Thanks so much, they are fun and there are just too many moulds, so little time...I'll have one of everything please....lol.
  8. I got the idea from reading Hotmama2700's threat with whipped wax (props for inspiration) I liked the look of the candles, was going to ask questions, but tried instead. Here is what I came up with.... I used 2 different colours, the first pile is already done, broke camera out too late melt and pour your wax into cookie sheets, let cool, when warm to the touch, I used a fork and went one way, then crossed each section, back and forth.... I kept repeating the process and moving the entire pile around as I went.... It was a long go at it, but if you persist through the pain (lol) you end up.... with a big pile of crumble, that is sort of rounded from all the moving around...pull it out of both cookie sheets.... you end up with 2 piles of small rounded pellets get 2 good sized jars and fill, like this... Put out to display for all to see and smell....now I just used recycled wax for this, I had white, blue and brown candles...I just wish the crust per say was a bit more on the brown/golden side, will change this for next time. You can make any colour to match your pie/cake. Enjoy!
  9. Yay! Less spills, more waxed saved, good show...:smiley2:
  10. Thanks Kitn, yes I am, go downstairs turn lights low, no one comes down, they cant tell where I am... lol ... Boo!
  11. Thanks to all for the nice comments, it's a start for now, when I start building the racks for displays it will be fun, its fun to have other hobbies, and all the toys er I mean tools that go with it. The other day I had an inquiry about store space, something else to think about...geeesh, I just wish I could give every "Chandler" a basement of there own, even if you already have one, you will have 2 Merry Christmas to All..... Oh, ChandlerWicks, you automatically get 2 ...lol
  12. well doing some diggin around on the old board, I found a post that others have used a tuna can with no issues on the cheaper models of electric warmers to melt tarts....so go ahead and test away with it, I guess its ok, so far.....found my answer
  13. One More Found, this one goes with the Fire & Rescue Theme...
  14. Here is another pic I found, no description needed
  15. Just pondering: I have this type of warmer and was wondering if any out there use recycled cans on it, soup cans - tuna cans, just wondering how the seam on the bottom of the can holds up to this type of heat? Last thing I want to do is use an old can and have the wax leak out because the seam let go TIA
  16. Here are a few more I made late monday night... Pumpkins Gingerbread Men Half Skulls Having fun adding layers to the tarts.....so many things you can do, so little time...
  17. It does help. Yes I get the idea, pour different layers add small embeds so you can achieve suspension items in between the layers, very helpful, thank you Javaeboy...
