  1. Thanks, CB! I normally only use essential oils in my salt bars, and they stick great! Maybe the salt helps anchor fragrances better. Coconut Lime would be a great scent for salt bars too. I'll have to see if I have any CS coconut lime, or maybe try some of my CLV fos in a tester. I shall experiment with my next batch:)

  3. I have the same problem with coconut lime verbena in cp..can't really smell much coconut in the soap and sales are very slow. Sales great in lotion though. I have at least 4 different versions or more- NG, Peaks, MS, And MC. I think I will Hp this fo next time and see if it sells better..I notice FB has this fo, but haven't noticed any soaping reviews..it is highly rated on the website though, and considering trying it.

  4. Sultana soaped great and sticks in cp, though it's not a strong scent- it's nice and mellow, and like it. Soaps are at 8 week cure. I also have NG version "Royal B" , and imo FB is a little stronger oob. I have snow cake from both suppliers- don't care for either one..I did a tester soap using NG version and almost no scent..really bland fo... I haven't tested FB, and probably won't.

  5. Yw, I do this easy hp oven method if I have a fo seize too. Just stick the whole pot into the oven and gel. I refuse to rebatch,lol.. Hate it with a passion! I started to order the Black coconut yesterday from Aztec, update us if you get to soap it. I believe it has anise in the fragrance, and was afraid it wouldn't have much of a coconut smell.

  6. You ladies have enabled me,lol..I'm looking forward to soaping Forever Red! I placed an order yesterday..I really needed lye, and lotion bottles, and couldn't resist ordering fo's. Aztec has some new introductory fragrances...Aveeda type Rosemary Mint, and Volcano Capri- Ordered these and also ordered Cantaloupe Lily, and Sea Minerals. 5 free samples i picked Oak for men, peach bellini, white peach and hibiscus, clean cotton- want to see how it compares to BCN and CS versions, and very sexy for women.

  7. I give up on coconut scents in cp,lol.. I have tried countless suppliers coconut fo, most smell like a shower curtain in cp.. and have tried Peaks a few years ago in cp too, though it's better than others, it was still too light in scent for my taste. HP is the way to go with coconut scents, imo. I don't like to stand over a pot all day stirring, so I do it the easy way-just mix the batter to heavy trace with stick blender, and place my stainless steel pot in 170 degree oven. After about an hour I stir the batter, and cook a while longer and let the soap go through the gel phase. Remove from oven and quickly stir in the fo and pour in the mold. I do use full water, and sodium lactate so it stays fluid enough. NG Coconut Craze is the fo I've been using, and it sells out every time! It will go tan if vanilla stabilizer is not used. I use no less than an ounce/ppo, even though its hp. I've even mixed Soapsupplies.net caribbean coconut when I was running low. Love Caribbean coconut in lotion too! I do prefer the look of cp, and hope one day there will be a coconut fragrance suitable. I'm going to try to restrain wasting more $ testing any more coconut fo's and stick with what works and sells great.

  9. Their PMR is the best and I could not find a replacement either, in a panic I called their number and the phone was answered for Kimberly Candles. I ordered 5 pounds around 2 weeks ago on the phone.

Tennessee Candle Supply is in business, call them, Kimberly told me the website is down as Brett is working on it.

    HTH

Thanks,You have made my day!!!! I I just got off the phone with Brett, and he explained that the website is down right now, and that orders would have to be phoned in. We had a good laugh over my beloved peach magnolia raspberry panic! They are going to email a list of available oils :)

  10. Anyone know of another supplier that is an exact match to Tennessee's version. This fragrance is one of my best sellers in cp soap and lotion and need a replacement soon. I have tried Natures garden and it's not the same and the scent was light in my soap tester. The fragrance description for Tennessee's version of peach magnolia raspberry: A fruity floral combination consisting of notes of apple, berry, peach, strawberry, jasmine, rose and lavender. Tia!

  11. I too am hoarding a bottle with the intention of getting it duped, just haven't gotten around to it...

I miss Bert's! Doesn't anyone know who her manufacturer was? She had some of the best oils ever along with the lowest prices. Hoping someone will know!

Bert's had some of the best and strongest fo's! Oh how I miss her monkey farts, fig melon, cool water, and many more...they all stuck like glue in my soap..

  12. I loooove SweetCakes Mango Tea. It is very strong and lasts forever and a day in my CP. Like TallTayl, I don't smell any tea in it either. I call my soap made with it 'Honeyed Mango', because instead of tea, I smell something deliciously sweet along with the mango.

I also love Mango Sorbet from WSP.

Those are my 2 favorite mangoes.

Thanks! I just recently ordered WSP mango sorbet, but haven't soaped it yet. Glad to read your positive review:-)

  13. Peak scents are always wonderful. i have not used their mango though :( on another project i was introduced to Sweetcakes mango tea. All i get is mango, no tea in soap.

I have yet to find a mango that is great in cp soap..is Sweet Cakes strong? I have a couple mango types that are almost cured..soapsupplies.net- mango passionfruit tea..smells nice, but wish it were a bit stronger in the soap.

    WSP- Mango Papaya..not impressed, weak

I did a tester bar with AH/RA Bora Bora and like it alot for a summer fragrance, also Cajun Candles Hurricane Daquiri, Love it!

  14. For cp soap, keepers for me are Pink Sugar, Coconut Lime Verbena, and will reorder. I Made some 4 oz. tester bars about 6 weeks ago or longer..ones I like so far are lavender vanilla( this is not downy dupe) , cucumber melon, honey oatmeal.

I did not care for ginger or irish spring..Irish morning smells like irish spring soap imo, and very strong, but I recall it accelarating too much.

  15. I just compared MS pink sugar to Peaks oob, and both very comparable to my nose. I only make soap and MS is the best I have tried so far, but have not tested Peak's yet...I have used Natures Garden, AH/RA and others.. I have noticed an increase in sales since I switched to MS version.

  16. I just got hit with $354.92 at Paypal-eretailparts in Ca. I used Papermart, Candlewic, Aztec, Community Candles, Elements, Sweetcakes, Wellington, Online Labels anyone use any of those before they got hit?

The fraudulant charges started on 4/2 all of them on the statement show APL*APPLE ITUNES STORE 866-712-7753 CA

I ordered from 2 suppliers on 4/2 also and they are listed before the fraudulant charges..The Herbarie and Wholesale supplies plus. other suppliers on the statement prior was Columbus Foods, Millcreek, Natures Garden, Soapsupplies.net, and Tennessee Candle-I called in and placed my order.
