For 20 years I have been an advertising exec running sales departments for television stations. For the past 10 years I ran Woodland Candle Company. I am very passionate about both advertising and candle crafting so I created crafterdeals.com - a place where I'm securing outstanding discounts to your favorite candle making supply companies for your candle and soap business. It's like Groupon - but for candles and soap!

  1. I am trying to find a long lost contact Peggy - I'm almost certain was from Washington DC. She was inspirational in my starting my candle business and I learned so much from her... I last could find her on The Scent Review - when Candles By Cows owned it - not Alabaster..... Peggy are you out there? Kim:cheesy2:
  2. I am going to blab all my trade secrets... I guess. I had a fairly successful wholesale business for candles and we had a fantastic KLP. I never could buy the right fragrance that I loved - so I created it. We bought Taylored Concepts Pie Crust and then combined w/ Alpine Aromatics (Sweet Lime). It was outstanding and we wholesaled into about 350 retailers all across the northern US. I hear Taylored is going out of business but that AAA is picking up their line. Then for Alpine - that is a manufacturer w/ a 25-35 lb min. You could probably call them and ask if they can rec a supplier who carries that fragrance oil. I did a 60-40 split of Lime to Pie Crust... 3. I have bought from French for many years. I don't really think higher price means more potent fragrance oil. It is more relative to more expensive ingredients that go into the different oils. I have purchased fantastic fragrance from French for $6.95 per lb to $16.50 per 25 lbs.... depends on what I needed and how expensive the raw materials become.
  4. Absolutely! Different colors and ingredients in fragrance oil can both affect which wick size you might need!
  5. I would tell here... that's why she bought three. Light them all up!
  6. I love the labels. I have done a lot of printing and see there is some complaints about label companies. We used Lancer Label a LOT. They are quick and very good quality. I don't know what state they are located in...???
