  1. that is funny , i will tell you , you are goin to love the home sweet home.... WOW hot and cold throw , it is a little strong i may have to back off on it but my house smells great. How's the amish harvest and sweet pea btw ?
  2. WoW is all I can say. Louis responded back to my email and said he did notice the mistake and would ship my order Monday and to keep the Home Sweet Home that was sent out in error for my patience and understanding. The response came in less than two hrs on a Saturday which blew my mind. I did not expect to hear anything until at least monday. Kudo's on the customer service on his part. Either way Home Sweet Home is awesome.... Made a few testers and the cold throw is unbelievable, I am almost starting to think I may have added too much , 1/2 oz to 1/2 lb of wax. Had my neighbor and mother in law give it the sniff test and they were both just blown away by it. I may have to really concentrate on this one and get some more.
  3. Welp, got my mail today as I have been waiting my order to arrive from Only Fragrance and would'nt you know it , it was wrong. I ordered 16oz of Amish Harvest and 16 oz of Sweet Pea (BBW) and they sent my 16oz of Home Sweet Home Well they did get the Sweet right but still 16oz short. Soooo aggravated right now, I was so psyched to get some pours done tonight. Emailed them and I await the response.
  4. Wow, either i'm coming to make candles with you or babysit in Perth
  5. I was thinking the same thing. Actually gonna go pick this one http://www.lowes.com/pd_73790-56005-IRT207_0__?productId=3136869&Ntt=thermometer&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dthermometer&facetInfo=#BVRRWidgetID up from lowes today. seems to have pretty good reviews.
  6. so funny you say that, i just got my order today and UPS decided to leave it outside . real temp was according to the news 100 with heat index of 110. needless to say my wax survived but my dye chips did not fair so well. not totally melted but the but had an awful lot of color all over it
  7. that's what i wanted to hear, i just didn't wanna buy something that i would have to replace in a month or two it's all new to me. does it need to clip on to the pour pot or anything......
  8. Well, got my order today, and have everything but something to gauge the temp on . Could somebody recommend a place that would have one worth buying ? thinking like a michaels or something like that. Thx again, you guys are awesome......
  9. thanks, nice chart, gonna bookmark that one
  10. My heart was pounding when I was typing, I meant Sweet Pea as a pinkish
  11. I thought I had it all figured out but noooooooooo now i need colors I have a link for a color char which is here http://www.trinitycandlefactory.com/ColorChart.htm but I would love to place my full order with Candle Science since they seem to have the best price on the wax . I just ordered Amish Harvest and Sweet Pea . Now based on the color chart amish harvest is a pinkish . But, I have NOOOOOOO idea on Amish Harvest... Any help would be greatly appreciated on color choices from Candle Science.... Thanks so much..
  12. Welp, not big spenders like most but I just ordered amish harvest and sweet pea (BBW) . will post some reviews when i get it
  13. Are ya lookin for 4oz jelly jars I sent them an email inquiring about them and it took over a week before I got a response. Was not impressed. The email said all info is listed on the Website Well it sure did'nt tell me when they were gonna be available . Oh well, can prolly get em cheaper from the local food lion ....
  14. Thanks for that post, I was under the impression that retail was 3 x's cost not 2 x's wholesale. Learning something new everyday.
  15. Well Tammy , I would think that is up to you to be honest, I myself am new at this and the info i passed on to you is the info that I have have gathered off of the boards and the ton of other research that I am have done and am still doing What size jar candle are they , I am just curious .
  16. based on your $12.00 retail price i would assume your cost is around $4.00 (from what i gather retail is cost x's 3) . Wholesale cost is usually cost X's 2, so I would say $8.00 wholesale. Just curious what type of candle these are .
  17. At first when I read this I was LOL cuz I thought you said "either way it's a two way drive" instead of two day . WOW , I feel for ya there , I guess I don't have it soooo bad . It just blows my mind that I can't find anything closer.... I am sooooo trying to get my cost down and it's irking the sh*t out of me.
  18. Other than Candle Science which is a good 3hr trip for me one way does anybody have any recommendations for a wax supplier ? I have searched high and low and nothing but Candle Science. They do have the best price that I have found on IGI 4627 but would love to save the shipping cost and pick up directly. Surely there has to be something in the Charlotte area.... Thanks again for any help.
  19. Have not used them but the price looks good and seems like they have a lot to offer. I am gonna do some research on these guys . Good Luck.
  20. kinda agree with ya on that but that is why i was thinking like general area, somewhere close say within an hr.... but like georgia stated it already exists with the co-op , can't wait til i am old enough to get in there
  21. aha, thanks georgia, it does kinda make sense. at least now i can tell my girlfriend i am not crazy for thinking of something like that
  22. Ok, I am a new startup and looking to keep my costs as low as possible. As I sit in the garage and ponder on how to do this with a cold one I said to myself "Self, there are plenty people like me who are trying to cut costs, what if I got a group of people in the general area and made one trip to the supply house". Say charge a flat rate of say $10.00 for your order ? My GF says no, other bussiness' do not want you to know what they are using and my response was it's just wax , that is your biggest shipping cost. I could care less if anyone knows what type of wax I use , it's just WAX Do you think this would work and has it been tried in the past ? Seems like a win win to me. I know for 25lbs of wax the shipping is approx $17.00 shipping. Now if someone told me they would get me 25lbs , 50lbs or even 100lbs for say $10.00 holy crow. I don't know, just throwing ideas out there. Comments ??????
