  1. One problem with the spigot that you young folks won't have a problem with is the "auto memory function". You open the spigot and it's not hot enough to flow freely and you turn around a forget to close the spigot. The auto memory function on the valve malfunctions and all of a sudden you have hot wax running out in the floor. Got to be a valve malfunction as I am confident my memory is not that bad - yet. I have spigots on all of mine, but I like the ladle idea for a more exact measurement. Also, just saw a Wal-Mart on line add for a new Turkey Fryer, stainless steel pot that holds 20 lbs (I think, I'm working from memory - surely it wasn't 20 gals.), a spigot for cleaning, super fast heat-up, thermostat dial on the front, looks real nice. Believe it was $164.00.
  2. Does anyone know where I can find info for "How-to make spiral candles"? It just hit me that this question is one of those "not necessary" as I have been searching for "twisted candles". Already started the Post, but will now search "spiral". Thanks - J.Snow
  3. Jonsie - All of the advice you have received is top quality and from highly experienced individuals. Can't say anything bad about the printers they have reccomended. However, I would encourage you to look at the Lexmark Pinnacle Pro901. In addition to being a printer, it is also a fax and scanner. Prints excellent labels and card stock. The ink cartridges are advertised as the least expensive on the market. Paper tray holds a full package and I believe it comes with a five year warranty. This is my second Lexmark and have had nothing but excellent results. Purchased mine from the Sam's Club.com website for $175.00 (round numbers). Best wishes - J.Snow
  4. I have the instructions, with photos, on how to make Cinnamon Bun Candles without using a mold. Very simple - plus, you can get creative like adding a few raisens or nuts on top, which you can make. If you will send me your email address, I will send to you as an attachment. Can't figure out how to add attachment here. J.Snow Bella Vista, AR
  5. As a retired Financial Crime Investigator for a major retailer, credit card fraud was my speciality. Be assured there is nothing you as the user of a credit card can do to prevent being scammed. If you are a Internet Shopper, the most effective method of dealing with the probability of being a compromise victim is to "Have a credit card that you use for nothing but Internet purchases". The Internet is most probable location of being compromised. Your local grocery store, restaurant, gas station, etc. are possibilities - but will most likely be the victim of a hacker into their credit card processor's database. Never ever use your debit card for an Internet purchase. And if you should receive a phone call from a credit card investigator inquiring about a recent purchase, do not provide confidential information. If the caller is truely a fraud investigator, he/she should have your confidential info and able to verify it to you. If you're suspecious, call your card company's phone number on the back of your card. Be alert and suspecious of the unusual and you will stay credit card safe. J.Snow
  6. Where would I find shrink wrap for 2" pillars or would you just trim the 3"? Have found a few other suppliers other than allwhite. It seems like $55.00 for a 1000 is a bit on the expensive side compared to others. Or am I miscalculating? Thanks - J.Snow
  7. Try the Infrared thermometer gun, just point and pull the trigger. Easy to use and readings as accurate as most any thermometer. Use to check temp of pot handle, burning candle flame, temp of burning candle container. Even your own temp, just don't hit anyone in the eye with the beam. J.Snow
  8. Must be how I asked the question, 29 views and not 1 reply. What I'm looking for is a package that has a program explanation letter for mailing, brochure examples, agreement and contract examples, order forms, liability release, etc. Surely someone knows where to find or possibly this could be an opportunity for a creative marketing mind. Many thanks again. J.Snow
  9. Where can I find a professional fundraising package for marketing. I have seen such a package advertised, just can't find it again. Kinda tired of reinventing the wheel. Many thanks for any and all suggestions, advice, ideas... J.Snow
