  1. Okay...I'm not sitting by my fo's...but off the top of my head. BTW I add them at 9% in a Soy & Beeswax combo...I should cut down on Buttermint Candies...but I love it too much! :) Looking at the list so far and I realize these are just a fraction of what they offer...I don't try many because they aren't what I'm looking for. Can you tell by my list I like food? :shocked2:

    Amish Harvest

    Vanilla Passion

    Mediterranean Fig

    Home For The Holidays

    Cinnamon

    Buttermint Candies

  2. I am on CLOUD NINE!!! Nachelle emailed me last night...THEY ARE BRINGING IT BACK!!! (I guess all my emails and whining WORKED!!!!) She said they couldn't find anything that even came close. So they'll slap on a warning label or something about the low fp. It should be in in a couple of weeks! My holidays are back on track!!!

Today I'm going to be mixing up the last of my oil from last year...and making room for my BARREL FULL! Yippie!!:yay: :yay:

(Now I just have to figure out what to do with all the Egg Nog fo's I have sitting around here from my quest to find a replacement! :shocked2: )

  3. I use it in soy @ 9% and it throws great right from the git-go. It gets even stronger if it cures but I can usually burn the candle the next day and get an excellent throw. Was my best seller last Christmas. Hope it still is I just bought a bunch. ;) What temperature did you add your fo to your wax? I usually add at 175 and then pour at cloudy/slushy stage. It IS a GREAT scent...in spite of what you've read around these parts! :D hth Stacy

  4. You can absolutely dispute this charge with your credit card company...that's why it always smart to order over the internet with a credit card. ;) You'll not be out the money as long as you have the documentation to support the claim. Good luck and let us know how it comes out. Stacy

  5. :( Anybody missing this Peak scent as much as ME? My holidays just won't be the same without it. Has anyone found one that compares to it both in scent and the awesome throw in soy?? If so...please let me know.. Sure wish they'd bring it back and just put a big 'ol warning on it that it has a low flash point. :undecided TIA Stacy
  6. Hey Michiganrocks...I'm In Michigan:D ...what city are you in?

It's a policy I've adopted to dispose of the peanuts we have no use for, because my dumpster company doesn't want me throwing them in the dumpster. And I am sure there are other stores who would be happy to have people take their 'extras'...at times we can become inundated with peanuts!

    hth stacy

  7. I have a store (not soley candles), and we recycle our styrafoam peanuts by taking them to the local UPS store, because we aren't allowed to put them in our dumpster. As a store owner I would love to have people take them for their use.

So I would check in your area for smaller, independently owned stores. They'd probably be more than happy to save them for you, it would save them time and the aggravation of hauling them to their recycle center. hth :cheesy2: Stacy

  8. I use 9% FO per pound...so say you have 4-8 oz. continers you want to fill, you need a total of 32 oz. of wax. So I figure it this way:

    32 oz. x .09 = FO Amount

    32 oz. x .91 = Wax Amount

Sorry I am not near my calculator...or I would have given you the totals. But hopefully you'll understand what I was getting at. hth

  9. I want to thank everyone for their input...unfortunately for me I don't embrace the cauliflower as sometimes it makes it hard to find the wick. :(

Remarcha-Thanks for jumping in here...I do a blend of cso flakes and beeswax with my Plain 415, do you happen to know the maximum amount of cso flakes I might be able to add to my mix? Maybe I'm not adding enough...hmmm....more testing. ;) Never thought of this...could a person make a candle solely out of cso flakes? hmmm...again, more testing. Well...I guess I better get off the computer and go start testing.....well, maybe later. :D

  10. Thanks Mo...I knew there was a huge thread on it...but I couldn't find it in a search. I don't add the vybar anymore...it's funny...it doesn't seem to happen with all of them. But I am into my second box of a new batch. I wonder if, because of whatever the issue might be with the soy, that certain fo's are reacting with it? Could that happen? Where's Henryk when ya need him...;) Thanks, Stacy

  11. I know this has been discussed in the past and I even went back to the old board and did a search, but I can't see where anyone came up with a definitive answer. All the sudden...I am getting that 'cauliflower look' after burning some of my candles. In some cases it is covering one of my wicks, (I double wick Elevation Jars).

I am wondering if it's my new batch of wax? I make my own blend of Plain 415, cottonseed oil flakes and beeswax...and the only thing that's changed is a new batch of the Plain 415. Does anyone have any thoughts? Dang...I hate this! Just when I seemed to be getting a handle on things. :undecided
