I check and I think I have my notifications updated, I haven't received pm's or emails notifying me of a pm like I had before. Let me know if I need to change anything- thanks so much!

thanks! I'll double check my setting...

Welcome to the board! So many friendly people here and a wealth of information and experience. I'm in MN too. What part of MN are you from? Welcome and best of luck with your candles!

Is there something I need to change on my settings? I'm not receiving pm messages. Just thought I'd check if anything changed. thx!

I love their Apple Strudel, very strong... (will likely place an order too, my resolve is weakening, I just can't resist these sample sales:) )
-
love their oils (and they are local for me), have used them in tarts and they are nice and strong. of course I haven't tried the bergamot and coriandor, so guess who will be placing an order today cuz I just have to try this combo in soap and lotion? Thank you enablers!!

I was trying to use ingredients I already had, and also used a recipe from MMS as a guide too.

well, I broke down and ordered- thank you fellow enablers!! I'm really looking forward to trying Tangerine Dreams, as I have been trying to find a good citrus, got a few 1 ozer's too, just cuz.

it has all stayed mixed together, but I used Hydrovance and not glycerin. I'm not sure if it would behave differently. So far, all of the ingredients have stayed mixed together. It is thick, like a salve.

yay- fnally found the recipe:
45 grams Lanolin
22 grams Shea butter
21 grams Hydrovance (or you can use Glycerin)
14 grams virgin coconut oil
2 grams Vitamin E
7 grams beeswax
2 grams Optiphan
6 drops Lavender EO
Melt the Lanolin, shea butter, hydrovance, coconut oil and beeswax in double boiler. Take off heat, when below 120, add vit E, Optiphan and EO. Pour in jar (this makes about 4 oz, it fit perfectly in a 4 oz jelly jar). It really works well on cracks on the hands and feet.

I couldn't find your pinterest page (but I don't go on there very often, so I may not be searching correctly), do I just enter your name on the top search line?
Thanks so much!

I will post the recipe- once I find it! It's gotten lost on my desk somewhere, between work, hobby stuff, xmas, etc.... but will be happy to post it! (I think one of my new year's resolutions will be to be more organized!!)

The blend I tried actually works very well- really helps with cracks on fingers and feet... I went to swiftcraftmonkey site too, but found my test batch works well so far...
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

thank you Old GLory! I tried a test batch of balm with lanolin, shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, and vit e- will see how that works too, but may have to try the olive oil too...

Anyone have a good recipe for a hand balm for dry, cracking skin? I want to make some for my hubby who is having really dry cracked hands this winter! Thanks for your help!

I love Ho, Ho Ho fragrance oil, wonderful bakery scent. Twigs and Berries is strong. I just got Honey Almond and Vanilla Almond, and it's really nice in lotion (haven't tried in melts yet). I don't order a lot from them, but keep getting drawn in and have to try some new ones..... yes I too am a FOHO!

I've been blending 464 with palm for my melts- so far I like it- just had a throw another suggestion into the mix for you!
-
wow, I think I'll have to order one just to get rid of all the dust in our home- who knew? mother's little helper, don't you know? (and less expensive than a cleaning service). If I hear one more comment of negative ions, chakra, etc, etc though, I may just lose it.... wow, just, wow...

just beautiful! Love all of your pictures (esp love your dog- what a sweetie, even with snitching a treat!)-you make such wonderful products! What an inspiration! I've just been making firestarters with my leftover wax- they are fun to make- I love all of the fun things you put in- so artistic!
Thanks for sharing

I live near Sweetcakes, if that helps anyone... it's dangerous living that close (15 min tops)

when you use straight PB, do they pop out of the warmer when you're done, or do you have to pop it into the freezer first? I've used the PB/excel mix and have had good results, but it doesn't pop out without first putting in the freezer (I know this isn't a big issue with some, just thought I'd check:)

Dave- thank you so much, very thoughtful of you! We've had warm weather here in MN too, its not always a snowy tundra . I've gotten confused looking at all of the different bases and ingredients too- thank you for all of your information above!
