  1. Thanks! That helps a lot. BTW, I use the SW1003A Ecosoya Pillar Blend Soy Wax from Peak for my melts.
  2. Hey guys. It's been awhile since I posted last, but always check out this spot for advice... So, my question is...if I have some unopened wickless in the clamshells, how long should they be "good for"? Do they have a "shelf-life"?
  3. Love the pics. Also, I never thought of using filing cabinets. Good call on that!
  4. Ya, so I'm in need of organization over here. We have no rhyme or reason to our storage (while not making candles). I have a plastic sack (from the local grocers), a 5 gallon pail from Home Depot and a bed... Any suggestions on storage containers (for molds, FO, etc...) would be awesome. Even more awesome would be pics thanks matt
  5. Ok, NOW I get it...My wife and I LOVE our Presto Pots. I can't believe how much more efficient they are.
  6. Ok, so I've filled my head with the presto pot thread. But, I've also been looking at the electric range plate burners. I've thought that this might be an option as well, because after I use the presto pot once...it's pretty much a candle melter, right? I have a couple of pour pots (put directly on the burner) and thought a burner can also do double duty when the stove is taken. Anyone use these? Yay/Nay?
  7. Dang it! Ok, I'm interested...is there a step-by-step anywhere for good instructions?
  8. What do you use to scoop the wax out (if this is what is done). I don't think I'll drill a hole in it...
  9. Harbor Freight...got mine for 6 bucks with a coupon.
  10. So, we are doing the double boiler method and don't know any for better/worse techniques. Would a PP really make a difference?
  11. Ok, that's what I thought. I feel...well, a little silly for asking. Thanks.
  12. Ok, so math is not my strong suit. If I have 16oz of wax and it says suggested is 6%, what is that? :embarasse Just trying to fine tune and stuff...
  13. Well, I have been "re-freshing" all day and FINALLY Peak has it back in stock. BOOM! Order in. Going through our order history...we spend more on EVERY order.
  14. Thanks, it would be nice if Peak sold this. Putting an order in soon, so it'd be nice to save on some shipping. May have to just suck it up and get wax one place and other stuff, elsewhere and just deal with it. Thanks for your experience.
  15. Oh, you found it under the "wax directions"...doh!!! Thanks.
  16. The site doesn't list FO% for this wax. What do you advise - 10% work?
  17. Great, thanks. I think I'm gonna try this. I like the flake/granule idea
  18. Not an effort to "hi-jack", but where do you find the best place to order this wax?
  19. So, even at this container wax...isn't too soft for clamshell tarts? Do they release well (not mushy))
  20. Ya, I know what you mean. We just happen to try this scent, not knowing people would flock to it like a fat kid on cake.
  21. How confident are you? Now, I'm not questioning your awesome scent smeller, but I've never tried other suppliers. Know what I mean?
  22. Ok, so maybe not too different, but hear me out.... I've been using some Single Pour Container Wax-IGI 4630A for both my jars and some tarts. While I like the wax for container's, the tarts are well...soft. I'm looking for something that is a little harder, but the key is SINGLE POUR for clamshells. I don't know if I'd know how to re-pour a clamshell without messing it up. So, a non greasy/soft single pour for clamshells (obviously scent through is a must)- yep, that should have been my title. thanks, Matt
