  1. No, what she's saying is that some states (like mine) have restrictions on using any form of the word Company in your biz name if you are not an incorporated business. I am a DBA and can not use Co., Inc., Company, etc. in my biz name, unless I legally incorporate.

Thanks Beth. This was exactly what I was wondering.

Sorry Sockmonkey. I should have used the term 'incorporated'. I edited my post with this change.

  2. .... They are made with 100% soy beans. I can't speak for other massage oil candle makers but, I use soap based fragrance oils at much lower concentrations then I would for a normal candle. They are not intended to be used for scent throw.

And...what is there to get...The fun with these candles is that you use them for massages.

ummmm...I thought soap based fragrance oils were for 'wash off' products, not lotions.

I think massage candles are a lawsuit waiting to happen also.

    my 2¢.

  3. I got the 16 bar mold, and after it was "delayed" and finally arrived I actually am a bit disappointed.First, I got a splinter from the thing when I was unpacking it. That was not a good start! The wood is neither "polished" nor varnished at all - just lightly sanded at best....

Funny. I thought my emisty mold was beautifully made. Great workmanship. Nicely routed along the sides and sanded. Dusty from sanding so I wiped it with a tack cloth. Cutter had a burr but a knife sharpener smoothed it out.

Bars smallish but very thick (size is listed on the auction). They feel good in my hand.

Mold is unfinished for oven use. I asked about this before purchasing mold. I was worried finish would 'gum up' in the oven.

    my 2¢,

  4. Thanks for the pics. Now I know what I am looking for.

My mental picture of mylar was the metallic stuff used for balloons. It is also sold by the roll at florist & party supply houses. I couldn't figure out how the stuff could stand on its own. lol.

    Thanks again,

    donna

  5. yea don't do what I did..I let it run out and then it was lost in ciber space for like 60-75 days or I can pay $80 to get it back..ummmm.. $9 in 60 days or $80 now..I will wait..I got .net anyway.

How did you let it run out? Company from whom I purchased domain started email campaign to renew about 2 months before the expiration date.

    My domain is inactive.

Do web hosts send alerts for approaching expiration dates?

  6. Are you sure the liquid, yellow oil from Sam's says hydrogenated? Marilyna

Marilyna, I was wrongwrongwrong. What I saw was 'fully refined soy oil'. I left it on the shelf.

Sam's did have a 'creamy soy oil'. It contains partially and hydrogenized soybean oils with citric acid added to extend shelf life. Peanut oil had anti-foaming agents added. The 100% soy oil was the only bulk oil that didn't have any listed additives.

    Back to the shopping cart.

    Bummer.
