First of all, the glitter is on the outside of the containers. Secondly, glitter doesn't clog wicks, especially the amount used on these containers. Thirdly, my family/friends/customers know what wet spots are and they don't see many of them very often on my containers.
Lastly, I would strongly encourage you to read this very forum for more information on the effects of glitter on containers.[/QUOTE]
I don't need to mask my container candles with ANYTHING......period. If you want to use glitter to cover up flaws in your candles then go for it.
If I don't have anything positive or kind to say I keep it to myself, as it reflects my character. If I am unsure about a given subject matter I definitely keep that to myself, as it reflects my intelligence.
Now, Pam W, you can respond in any fashion you choose to, but I am done with this matter. Have at it.

Thank you all for looking at my pics upside down and sideways and backwards. The next time I will attach better pics. I appreciate the compliments. Oh, almost forgot, all of the blinged candles are sold.
ChandlerWicks, how ya doing?

Personally, I'd rather buy a candle with wet spots than a candle with glitter that may eventually clog the wick. And does the average customer even know what a wet spot is?

Those are pretty
Thanks, Vicky. A compliment from you means a lot to me.

I misunderstood your question. I thought you were speaking of pillars when you said molds. I agree with Suzy, no glitter on tarts/melts,
-
You can use Mod Podge. I just posted some containers I blinged up. Is that kind of what you are talking about?
-
These containers contained terrible wet spots. After much deliberation I decided to put glitter on them to sort of hide the wet spots. These are the 21oz, 12oz and 8oz metro/status containers. One picture shows the finished containers in bags with bows. These are not very good pictures. First time blinging containers and first time posting pictures.

Apply your glue directly on the object you want the glitter on. Put your glue directly on the area you want your glitter. You can put the glue and then the glitter directly on the wax. Why would you put glitter in your mold first? What kind of glue are you using?

Your votives look good and welcome.

Congratulations. Wishing you tons of success!

Wow! You put a lot of work into these and they are really pretty.

These are adorable.

The cost of the FO plus shipping and then the average of those two factors. I have cut back a lot on the usage of FO and trying to cut back even more. I am trying to follow Candybee's suggestion and the suggestion of others who say that if a FO doesn't scent to my standards at 1 oz per pound, then move on to another fragrance because there are sooooo many to choose from.

It is a nice fall/winter color. I think it looks good. You're a neat soaper it appears LOL.

Norton. Not a computer expert though. I haven't had a crash nor a virus since using Norton for the past seven or eight years.

I haven't found anything that will keep my wicks straight unless I manually adjust and maneuver the wick somewhat after pouring. I have found that no matter how centered my wick is and regardless of what device I use, I have to inspect my wick and adjust as necessary to ensure a perfectly centered wick.

Very pretty! Post some pics after you cut it.

I have always made candles and haven't played around in the B&B field. I want to start experimenting and possibly making some Christmas gifts. I know there are a lot of good suppliers out there but for my learning purposes I was hoping to find a local resource to save on shipping charges and so forth. If anyone has any ideas if you can pick up some products like essential oils and some basic oils like soybean, jojoba, avocado etc. I would appreciate it. Thought about looking at whole foods but if they carry it- it may be more than buying from a supplier and paying shipping. I guess I would love any experienced feedback before I invest too much money. Thanks! I am thinking along the lines of bath salts, sugar scrubs etc.
Why don't you place an ad on this forum. Perhaps some members have supplies they no longer want or need and everyone can use a few extra bucks around this time of year or any time of year for that matter LOL. Make a list - and be specific - as to exactly which products you are in search of. Keep in mind that posting on this forum is also free. Buying from this forum will save you taxes compared to purchasing locally and purchasing from this forum, in all likelihood, should save you shipping costs. Go for it! You never know who has what items they no longer need or want. Who knows, I may even have some items. Just an overly broad category of B&B isn't very helpful and probably won't yield any results.

If you are making clamshells and you want them to pop out, you will need to add stearic acid and/or another wax. If you're using paraffin wax, either 4794 or 4626 blends well with 4786 for a firm melt. With soy I have tried 415 or 464 or Xcel and they each work equally as well.
Should be 4625 and not 4626. Excuse me.
-
Do you use the 4786 with melts alone, or do you mix with anything? (why oh why do I keep looking for other wax combinations?

Thank you to everyone that responded, I am only using this wax for melts.
Is there anyone that would like to add more..
This will be greatly appreciated.

Coco Mango - Cajun. I guarantee it.

Suzy, your soap is stunning but I am not sure I follow. Does each rectangle represent a loaf that you plan to slice or cut? What is the glass on top?
-
SuzyK, where do you get sweet orange and chili pepper? I haven't tried that one yet!
Cynthia3030,
I was wondering the same thing about her fresh pear!
Belinda,
I can't believe there are two FOs you haven't tried - Bartlett Pear and Sweet Orange and Chili Pepper. Those are probably the only two - LOL. I haven't tried either but SOCP has been on my wish list and I think I am going to add Bartlett Pear to my long wish list.

I had no idea how much I would love it! It is Peak's Bartlett Pear. Every person who smelled it bought it!
I'm sure Bartlett Pear passed your, what, 12 or 14 hour test? It sounds like a spring/summer scent, would you categorize it as such?

If someone just asks the name of your supplier, I don't see the big deal in giving out the name of a supplier. Asking for your recipe is a different story. But as someone said above, you probably could give them the recipe and they wouldn't achieve the same results. Why are these people asking for suppliers and recipes?
