my labels have pictures(public domain) on them so I use photoshop frame template and then import the picture into word with the correct size label. then I type the scent name underneath the photo.

does anyone have a way to ship these size candles. I know my customers wont pay for an 10.70 flat rate box for one candle. does anyone know if the post office has a box that would be more accomidating? any suggestions are welcome.TIA

its not the"american farmer" pushing the green movement. the majority of soybeans are sent to processing plants who use the byproduct from making soy bean oil to make wax.

they forgot to include that candles give women testicular cancer and men ovarian cancer! scientists and the media said so....

I just recently ordered one of peaks kits that came with the 4630 wax and they sent me pretabbed 6" 51-32-18 zinc core wicks and
I have been testing them in 8 oz containers and have had some good results

heres one that is embossed but I dont know if its square, I cant tell from the picture
these ones are from peak and they come with a lid, the others didnt. but it says temporarily out of stock, but my experiance with them is that they get stock in really fast, usually in a matter of days

what about a horse mold with marbled black and white soap

thank you guys so much!! I was scared that I ordered the wrong size and would have to wait another week for a new order, as soon as I find where my chubby hubby took the lighter off to, I will let you know if that fixed the problem

so I have started testing candles for bear mountain and the problem I have is that my 8 0z. tin has a HUGE flame. I have blown it out and re- lite the candle but the flame is still really big, which scares me. my though is that the wick is way to big for the container. its a 6" 51-32-18 in IGI 4630 pre blended paraffin.
thanks in advance!

my husband was looking over my shoulder and yelled "that freaking awesome!" right in my ear... thats when I realized he was behind me, scared the crap out of me too!!

stella- I was actually watching a mythbusters about grease fires last night. 8 oz of water in a pan of canola oil shot 25 feet in the air. I almost posted something about it on this thread.

im with chuck, this sounds like there was a pocket of undiluted FO somewhere in the top. Im so sorry to hear your aunt got hurt. my brother bought a container candle from walmart once and there was an oily spot on the side about 1/4 from the wall and when he burned it the same thing happened. it torched!! hopefully this is a freak thing luckily it happened to family who are willing to understand it was a real accident.

welcome from one newbie to another
soy-I though that the 12 step program was for people who had a problem with addiction, I enjoy every minute of it lol

what about doing a layered candle? you can do the bottom with the beans in dark brown, a small stripe of an espresso where you insert the tabbed wick and then the top layer in a cafe au late/cream color. that way you dont hit the beans at the bottom. Im not sure if that the look your going for but thats what popped into my head when I read you title

jaxx- I am doing mostly a soy/beeswax blend in containers and soy tart, I wanna play around with the "snowball" technique since I plan to brand as a western and rustic style. im also doing sewing a crochet western and rustic items. I want to try my hand at dipped cowboy/cowgirl bears too.

I was thinking of doing these too. costco had 12 wineglasses for $24. other then the dollar tree. that a pretty good deal
