  1. I signed up with this shop for consignment. In the contract it stated on the 15th checks will be written. So far no check. Owners cell phone disconnected, home phone disconnected! Finally he called and said he had my check and I ask where. It was at home. It's not much he said you sold a handful of items! I instantly went to the store and gathered all my items. His handful of items comes to 275.00! I told the sales clerk I just wanted to get my check and she said oh you will! I just took my items there December 11! We will see if the check is in the mail! Funny, how when he was hunting me down he had a cell phone and would call me everyday! Another lesson learned - I should have read the reviews on the shop before I went in!

  2. Made a quilt in memory of my Mom. She just recently passed away, I took all her tops she wore and converted them into the quilt. Cannot believe I finished it! Just have to add the back and take it to the quilters for there majic touches. RIP MOM!

  3. Went to check out there store. Ask the lady if they were soy candles and she says no. She said there is no difference between soy and parrafin! I said really, I opened a jar and said oh the tops are so rough. She said we have smooth tops over here all they do is cook the wax for hours for it to become smooth. The ladies did not seem very friendly!

  4. I feel for everyone. Its not like it use to be. I would bring home over $1,000 from one show. Now you are lucky if you make over $300. I noticed all the $1.00 - $10.00 items were selling. Alot of my $30.00 and above did not sell. I organize a craft show and make sure it is handmade. So many times they are juried in and decide to throw something in on the side, I make them take it down. Or another thing is I have my candy people in the hallway so then someone else in the banquet room decides to sell candy, I make them remove it. Just because they see the people in the hallway selling. I always hear from vendors that it is so hard to get into my show. I am very picky - you have to have a nice display and table coverings go to the floor.
