My daughter lives in Santa Claus Indiana!
Good luck on your next show.

I add my FO right to my pour pot too but do it at the end once all my additives are mixed in and the color is where i want it. I just put the pot on the scale, tare it and pour. The little flip top caps that most of my suppliers send keep the FO flow slower to help avoid issues with too much going in. That way if I have a color oops I am not wasting FO too or I might be able to salvage the colored wax with a different FO. It also saves on clean up time for me since everything goes into one pot that I am going to have to wipe out between batches anyway.
That is what I do also. The electronic scale works perfect!

I had to cancel my fall show, my mom had emergency surgery. She has colon cancer. The show cooridinators were so kind to save my entry fee for next years show. It will probably be a while before I can go to a show.

How many candles do you take to a show?
How many sell?

Yes, definately a money apron. The cash box sitting there someone can be talking to you and turn around and rip off the cash box. I have heard of this happening many times.

I have had very high blood pressure just like you. My bottom number was alway over 100! Top once was 285, they would not let me leave the clinic!
My last doctor visit was excellent, I have cut back on salt, increased my fiber intake, eat only wheat breads and noodles. Walk 5 miles a day and dont miss! Lost 30 lbs. My BP now is 125/70! Dr. cut back half of my medicines! She said 20 more lbs and I can eliminate the BP pills.
I also lost my stressful job in January, I think that might of had something to do with it. I luv my new relaxed new life of candle making and basket weaving!

I have a room in our basement fixed up with cabinets and countertop all around. Number one on the list is having a TV and phone.
Have to use my stove upstairs in the kitchen.

I have a container that is 4" wide on the bottom and 3-1/4" on the top. Someone suggested that I use 2 wicks for it? Is that correct. I use 6006 and CD-8 coreless tabbed wicks.
When I read post they usually say 3-1/2 and under use one wick.
Confused. Thanks

Thanks much for all the post, I went to the dollar store and bought some big spoons! I stirred and stirred, no red specs, but I was so much into the stirring I forgot to add the FO! LOL!
Thank you everyone!

I have always done the L-shape, the last craft show I did a little different, I had a small table and behind the small table I used my panel and hung different items on it, within 1 hour all the hanging stuff was gone. Could not believe it. It worked!

I love this forum it is so informative
I am using 6006 wax in apothcary 12 oz jars. Used red dye chips.
Brought the wax up to 190 degrees poured at 175. Looked very nice when it was cooling. Once cooled I have little red specs at the bottom of my jar. Almost looks like the dye chips. Tiny the size of a pin head maybe smaller. Whats up with this?

I was addicted to them until I realized the scent did not stay very long. Also found that the colors I used at times would change color after about one month.
