  1. I add my FO right to my pour pot too but do it at the end once all my additives are mixed in and the color is where i want it. I just put the pot on the scale, tare it and pour. The little flip top caps that most of my suppliers send keep the FO flow slower to help avoid issues with too much going in. That way if I have a color oops I am not wasting FO too or I might be able to salvage the colored wax with a different FO. It also saves on clean up time for me since everything goes into one pot that I am going to have to wipe out between batches anyway.

That is what I do also. The electronic scale works perfect!

  2. I have had very high blood pressure just like you. My bottom number was alway over 100! Top once was 285, they would not let me leave the clinic!

My last doctor visit was excellent, I have cut back on salt, increased my fiber intake, eat only wheat breads and noodles. Walk 5 miles a day and dont miss! Lost 30 lbs. My BP now is 125/70! Dr. cut back half of my medicines! She said 20 more lbs and I can eliminate the BP pills.

I also lost my stressful job in January, I think that might of had something to do with it. I luv my new relaxed new life of candle making and basket weaving!

  3. I love this forum it is so informative

I am using 6006 wax in apothcary 12 oz jars. Used red dye chips.

Brought the wax up to 190 degrees poured at 175. Looked very nice when it was cooling. Once cooled I have little red specs at the bottom of my jar. Almost looks like the dye chips. Tiny the size of a pin head maybe smaller. Whats up with this?
