  2. Morning Dcroome!!

Just recently I took the plunge and decided to add to my supplier list based on the reviews from the folks here ...I have NOT been disappointed!! The Grapefruit & Mangosteen is just awesome :yay:....it smells like a delicious tropical drink and has sold well this week for me! I bought seashell and flip flop molds to make embeds to put into the jars of this scent and it just makes the candles so adorable. I made the wax a light orange and colored the embeds lime green/orange....so cute!!! I use paraffin waxes and it is just absolutely one of the best fragrances I have ever had.....let's put it this way....it has been added to my permanent scent list!! I also just LOVED Caribbean Teakwood...I was expecting a totally different scent, but this is one scent EVERYONE wanted so I will be ordering a large bottle....it is unbelievable the layers of fragrance....just amazing!! Also the Pink Sugar from ICS has sold VERY well for me this week. I am ESTATIC .... new life has been breathed into my scent offerings and my customers have been excited too!!!

  4. Hi Dliteful!

When I started making container candles over 11 years ago I started with the paraffin 4786 container wax. I hate the 2nd pours, but I just love the results I get from it....it has never let me down. I use the zinc wicks with this wax.:smiley2:

  6. Hi Lynn,

I sell my tarts in a 6 pack for $6.00. I feel that $1 per tart is very fair... don't undersell yourself ....you work/have worked very hard to make an excellent product!! Another thing to think of is if you price your product too low, your customers may think they are getting a cheap product. Do you also sell the tart/jar warmers? Maybe offer different warmers and maybe also do a combo sell of the two items together? Buy some pretty jars that would be good to use for the warmers and make some wickless. People LOVE different things for their homes. YOU AND YOUR PRODUCTS ARE MUCH BETTER than any ole Walmart or cheap flea market. Believe it or not there are folks out there that DON'T have a clue what a tart or tart warmer is....you may need to educate your customers and bring them into the tart/tart warmer world....get them hooked on your product and make them want more. I also would tell your customers that they may be able to get tarts / candles/ whatever cheaper at a flea market, but they also WON'T get the quality product from there that you have and offer! Don't give up....make a plan!! :smiley2:

  7. I use a double burner hot plate for melting my wax for repours (I place my pour pot into a pan of hot water to heat). I also have a griddle.... it is an excellent jar warmer , I put down thick alum foil to cover the whole griddle surface, then place paper towels down on top of that (I never leave unattended because of this) and then place jars on upside down , and then totally cover the jars w/long sheets of aluminum foil to keep them warm. I set the temp at 125 for warming my jars. I also warm my votive cups on it. You can level pillars on it. You can also place your wax utensils, pots, etc on it to melt the wax off of them. Just lots of great ways to use them!

  8. Well, I didnt place an order until today. Glad I did because I was able to take advantage of their sale. Still didnt order but 7 fo. Shipping ended up costing $16.20.

Now hoping they will get here soon.

Oh and by the way...will someone please tell me where the smiley faces are on here????? LOL

    Hey Dillypooh,

After you click on reply to thread...look to the right and you will see "go advanced" ...click on that...smiley faces etc to be found there.:cheesy2: I am going to try them out this week too!!! So excited!!!:yay: WHOO HOOO!!!

  9. Well Mindy...you're not going to like my answer :tiptoe: BUT I sell the the hot plate warmers, the light bulb warmers and the plug in night light tart warmers. I have had customers buy all three types. I believe that there is a customer base for all of them...it just depends on what they are looking for. I love them all!:smiley2:

  10. I hear ya Minx!! It seems that every December when I have my orders almost complete, I end up having to order 1 or 2 things to complete them. I just want to pull my hair out because I KNOW that it is going to cost me $15 shipping to just order a couple of things.....drives me crazy!! It is just so darned painful right now with these shipping prices!!:angry2:

  11. Hee hee....hear ya on the getting mad and squeezing the bottle really hard :rolleyes2...been there done that. I love my liquid dyes and will never use anything else because all of my recipes are based on the drops and I love the results I get from the liquid dyes. When my dye bottle starts doing the same thing, I shove a toothpick up in it, then put the lid on it and shake it good. Then it will work ok for a little while and then gets difficult again...then I do the same thing ...I just try to baby it until I get so tired of dealing with it..I just order another one to replace it...:smiley2:
