  1. All i know is that it is the 130MP container from C&S. Shipping label is still on the side of the box.
  2. Hello all, I am fairly new to the candle making business. My friend passed away over a year ago and I inherited all of her candle supplies from her home business but none of her notes. So I inherited a candle Co. and for the last year I have been reading, studing, pouring, and making alot of mistakes along the way. Also taking alot of notes. My question is; I have over 60 lbs of 130 MP Paraffin wax that she had and I am not sure what to do with it. She was using alot of the victory blend wax. I make mostly Soy candles. I have never used 130MP. Do you just melt and pour like with Victory Blend, or do you need additives. I printed off the description of the wax but it really gives me no ideas. Please Help. I need all the suggestions I can get. Is it good for large comtainer candles or better for small votives. What is the scent throw really like? Thank you in advance for all your help and suggesrions.
  3. I got my Eco wicks from Lone Star Candle Supplies. I'm thinking about just getting all my wicks from C&S. The last couple of days I test burned another 2x3 1/2 pillar made with EcoSoya PB, no FO or dye. I tried the eco-4 and it was to small, then I tried the eco-6 and it was to small. I then tried the eco-8 and it burned perfectly. The flame was great and so was the melt pool. It burned for alittle over 28 hours. I then test burned the same size pillar. fo-lovespell, dye 3 drops red. wick eco-4. I lit the candle and within an hour it was running out over the edges. I can't explain it. I am so sick of these wicks. There is no consistancy.
  4. When i'm testing I use the size wick suggested and the next 2 smaller and the next 2 larger wicks. I do the test burn and then based on what happens as far as burning and melt pool. I then retest using the wicks that did the best and the next sizes smaller and larger trying to find the correct burn and melt pool. An example would be I have a 2 1/2 in round container. Test burning I have tried the Eco 4,6,8,10,12 & 14 I also tried the CD- 5,8,10, & 14 using the exact same container. The Eco 10 works but the flame still tries to burn out. The CD 14 works great, the 10 works but barely so I probably need to get a CD12 and try it just to be sure. I am having better success with the CD wicks. I only have 4 sizes of the CD wicks and every size in the ECO wicks. the only success I have had is that I can use an ECO-10 in a 3 x 3 1/2 pillar made with EcoSoya PB. It burns great and the flame and melt pool are really nice.
  5. Hello All, Trying to get some info together and would really like your input. I am using EcoSoya PB & CB Adv. I have CD & Eco Wicks. I have had nothing but problems with the Eco wicks. Every test burn I do with the Eco wicks, I seam to run into the same problems. My wick is always drowning out and end up with a real tiny flame. My test burns are always done with plain wax. No color, no scent, no additives. I may be doing this the hard way, but I pick a container and pour 5 or 6 with a different size wick in each one. For example: A Libbey 9.5 oz cube. Wicks, Eco- 8, 10, 12, & 14, CD-10, & 14. Wicks trimed to 1/4 in. No matter which Eco wick I use, they all are drowning out. I've tried trimming the wicks up to 1/2 in. and that doesn't help. The CD wicks tend to burn alot better. I called the company I got the wicks from and they can't explain it. They said they don't know what to tell me. My understanding is that the Eco wick and the CD wick are suppose to be the same wick. the wick coating is different. The Eco wick is an all natural wick. I live in Southaven, MS and I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. I would love any input or feedback you can give me. I'm just dunbfounded.
  6. I'm new to this site and have only been making candles for about 8 months. I ordered 2 / 50lb boxes of the EcoSoya PB & CB Advanced. My boxes have the orange label on PB and Purple label on CB Adv. I have had nothing but problems from the get go. I also got the Eco Wicks which are suppose to be great for the Eco Wax. I would Pick 1 container and pour 5 or 6 of those containers with just plain wax. I would put a different size eco wick in each one. Starting with the wick that was recommended and also using 2 sizes below and 2 sizes above. They start out burning really nice but about 2 hours into the burn the wicks start to burn out. The same thing happens with the pillar blend. Either the candle burns out or the wax runs out. I haven't been able to get one of the Eco wicks to burn correctly in this wax yet. I am also looking for any help or sugestions.
  7. Hello all, I hope to find some help here as I have not found it elsewhere. I am using EsoSoya PB, and EcoSoya CB Advanced. I have CD-wicks & Eco-wicks. I'm having a lot of trouble with the Eco-wicks. In a 2x3 1/2 pillar, after numerous test burns,I tried the Eco-4,6,8 & 10 & CD- 5. I had it narrowed down to the eco-4 wick which I test burned 3 more times and it worked really good. Someone made a comment that their pillar candle was drowing out. I started to test burn again with the eco-4 and now it is to small. I tried the eco-6 wick and find that it is not big enough. I'm also trying a CD-8 wick to see how it does. Do I need to use a different kind of wick? Could I just have bad wicks, or could I have bad wax? I have had a lot of problems with the Eco-Wicks trying to burn out, no matter the size or weather it is a pillar or container. I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! I live in Southaven, MS. It has been chilly here the last couple of weeks. We are in what is called Blackberry winter but that will only last a few more days. I want to Thank you in advance for any help you may give me.
